Giants Beat Rangers, Taking Their First World Series Since 1954

capturing their first World Series since 1954. They were
powered by Tim Lincecum's stellar performance on the mound,
beating the Rangers 3 to 1 in Arlington, Tex.

Taking the series four games to one, the Giants' victory
marked their first World Series title since the team moved to
San Francisco for the 1958 season.
